Veneer Pro started from Reality Converter, Apple’s discontinued USDZ app, which needed a new image file for every material change, even a plain color. KeyShot handled materials but was heavy and needed a fresh export for every option. Veneer Pro does CMF live, in AR, at true scale.

WHERE IT STARTED
Apple’s Reality Converter, with the same Duo file. It wasn’t node based and every material channel needed its own image file, so even switching a base color meant making a new texture. It gave no real sense of scale and was too slow for quick CMF comparisons.

REAL MATERIALS
Your KeyShot library loads straight in, all 953 KeyShot Studio materials here, so the swatches match what the final renders use. Double-click a swatch or drag it onto a part.

NODES & MAPPING
Materials are built from nodes, not image files. This lacquered maple is two noise nodes overlaid into a grain, mixed between two maple tones, with a clearcoat on top. Change a tone and the whole material updates.

TRUE-SCALE SCENES
A clay desk or bedroom built at real-world sizes, with props and a 175 cm figure, puts the product in context before anything gets printed.

DUO COLORWAYS
Exploring new colorways for Duo used to mean CAD to KeyShot, setting up materials, then exporting a USDZ with each colorway baked in, two to five minutes per export, just to see one option in AR. With Veneer Pro it went from CAD straight into the app, and every colorway showed up in my own space in real time, with real lighting and reflections.

LIVE ON VISION PRO
Material edits reach the headset in about half a second over the local network, so a change on the Mac shows up on the lamp in front of you.
